Dr Tim Millar from the University of Manchester, has worked in addiction epidemiology for over 30 years, and is also a member of the ACMD. Tim leads a Medical Research Council cluster called the “Nationally Integrated Quantitative Understanding of Addiction Harm (NIQUAD) MRC Addiction Research Cluster”.

Dr Matthias Pierce is a biostatsitician working in mental health epidemiology at the University of Manchester. He has published many papers on mortality and offending outcomes associated with opioid use in the UK.
